Shea butter is an excellent moisturizer. It reduces dryness, may help with dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis and burns. Often used as a lip balm, salve base, and moisturizer for all dry skin conditions. It can be used for sun damaged skin, and long term skin health. It would make an excellent "bum balm" for babies. If refined, shea loses its natural vitamins and healing abilities. It should last a year if stored in a cool place, out of direct sunlight. Refrigerate after opening.
